Week of October 1st-5th

Our Reading story for the week is “Smash! Crash!”. Our question of the week is: What do you like to do with your friends? The Amazing Words for this story are: signals, proper, perfect, dud, pirates, fabulous. The high frequency words are: a, to. The text based comprehension skill is character. We will listen for /m/ spelled Mm at the beginning or end of a word. We will focus on the correct formation of Mm. Please practice reading the “Little Mouse!” decodable story. *Each decodable story can be recorded for the monthly Reading Logs. J

In Math we will continue working on learning how to read, write, identify and count numbers 6-10. We will have the assessment for Unit 1 this week. Look for the sign and return stamp! J Please practice correct number formation for numbers 0-10.

In Science we will continue discussing the seasons and focusing in on changes in Fall.
