Week
of February 11th-15th
Our Reading story for
the week is “One Little Mouse”.
Our question of the week is: What adventures
can animals have? The Amazing Words for this story are: woodland, vale, comfortable, nest, hollow,
shallow. The high frequency words are: one,
two, three, four, five. The text based comprehension skill is sequence. We will listen for consonant
blends (ex: /bl/ /pl/ /sp/. Please practice reading the “My Words” decodable story. *Each decodable story can be
recorded for the monthly Reading Logs. J
In Math, we will
continue working on addition. We will use the vocabulary words: join, sum, and
equal. We will learn to use the plus sign and equal sign. Continue to practice
counting to 100 by 1’s, 10’s and 5’s. J Look for Math Test to be signed and
returned.
In Science, we will
begin our Physical Science Unit. In this unit, we will learn about our five
senses and what objects are made of as well as sorting and using objects.

Hour Delay days are not rotation days for special. If school is closed, then
the next day open will be the next rotation day for special. Please let me know
if you any questions as it can be confusing at times.
