Week of April 1^st-5^th

Our Reading story for the week is “Trucks Roll!!”. Our question of the week is: What kinds of transportation help people do their jobs? The Amazing Words for this story are: trailers, haul, truckers, cabs, steering wheel, headlight. The high frequency words are: what, said, was. The text based comprehension skill is compare and contrast. We will listen for /u/ spelled Uu. Please practice reading the “Fun for Jud” decodable story. *Each decodable story can be recorded for the monthly Reading Logs. J

In Math, we will begin our unit on Time, Data, and Measurement. J Please continue counting to 100 by 1’s, 10’s and 5’s. Additionally, we have been counting to 20 by 2’s.

Kindergarten Graduation pictures will be taken this Thursday, April 4^th. All students should wear a white collared shirt. Students will have pictures taken in a cap and gown with the collared shirt folded over the gown. Please be sure to send in the graduation picture package that was sent home last week. J
