This week in Reading
we will begin the story On the Move! The question we will
focus on is: How do people in different parts of the world travel? This story

will continue with Topic 9, Composing and Decomposing Numbers to 10.
We will learn to make the numbers 4-10 as well as write number sentences for the
numbers 4-10. Our topic 9 test will be on Wednesday. J Please continue practicing counting to
100 by ones, fives, and tens as well as writing numbers 0 to 20.
On Friday, a timed
writing words assessment and explanation was sent home. We will be practicing
writing as many words as we can in ten minutes. An average goal is 30 words. I
will be sending these home so you can see how your child is doing. Be sure to
practice this at home as well. Using word families and changing a vowel is an
easy way to think of more words quickly.
Our daily special

Day 10-Computer; Thursday, Day 1-Art; and Friday, Day 2-Guidance.
